Completed by Phil Moon; in 1997, the loco and coach were then found to be too heavy for him to manoeuvre alone. (Both the loco and the driving coach chassis are made from 12mm plate, complete with buckeye couplings!) and so to our great delight and surprise, he presented them both to the Society along with a matching trailer. The unit had not seen much use until a permanent track was available, the one occasion on portable track being enough. During 2007 the loco was separated from the driving coach which was then converted into an articulated set giving us two battery/electric units (see Furka Railcar). In 2009 it was renamed 'Mr Thom' after a childrens' competition in The Burnley Express local paper. In 2011, the locomotive was sold to a member of the Society, and has since received a overhaul, and has been renamed yet again to 'Trixie Belle'
